Casting News Pours In

Thursday July 27, 2006
As all your favorite shows go into production, news of guest stars in various roles are pouring in....
  • On Nip/Tuck, aside from the previously reported news of Brooke Shields and Larry Hagman coming on board, FX announced plans to bring Rosie O'Donnell, Jacqueline Bisset, Melissa Gilbert, Catherine Deneuve and Richard Chamberlain into the mix this season, which premieres on September 5. And for those of you wondering whether or not Kimber will be back this season -- Actress Kelly Carlson is indeed set to return, but I wouldn't count on her and Christian getting hitched anytime soon since he'll have his hands full with...well, just about every female in sight.

  • Brazilian star Rodrigo Santoro will join the cast of Lost this season. No word yet on what his role will entail, but don't be surprised if he is an "Other" or possibly someone from the outside world.

  • Kyra Sedgwick is keeping it in the family. Sedgwick's famous husband Kevin Bacon is set to direct the season finale of The Closer, which is set to air later this fall.

  • Diahann Carroll will guest star on Grey's Anatomy at the beginning of the season. In typical Grey's hush-hush style, there is no word as to how long her stay will last or what type of character she'll play.
