Medium to Return Earlier Than Expected
Thursday October 12, 2006
Fans of the metaphysical series Medium were extremely disappointed to learn that NBC had pushed the season premiere back until early 2007. In fact, many were skeptical that the series would return at all. One's loss is another's gain -- NBC announced that Medium will replace the time slot recently vacated by on-the-way-out series Kidnapped. NBC President Kevin Reilly was quoted as saying, "We have been waiting for the right moment to bring back this excellent, chilling drama to our lineup and we know this will make the show's legion of devoted fans very happy." Medium will premiere on Wednesday, November 15 at 10pm EST on NBC.
Fans of the CBS series Jericho have cause to celebrate -- thanks to the tremendous ratings, CBS has officially granted the series a full-season order. To date, Jericho and Heroes are the only new fall series to receive a pick-up. Additional scripts have been ordered for Justice, Standoff and Friday Night Lights, which can be considered a good sign in most cases, but keep in mind that at one point last season, additional scripts were ordered for Fox's short-lived series Reunion.
