Grey's Anatomy Stars Get Big Raises
Saturday March 10, 2007
It may be the hottest and most-watched drama on television, but the drama behind the scenes over at Grey's Anatomy has rivaled most of the offerings on primetime. The latest news on the set is positive for most of the actors on the series -- Ellen Pompeo, James T. Pickens Jr., Chandra Wilson, Justin Chambers and T.R. Knight have received major pay raises! Pompeo will bring home nearly $200,000 per episode, while her co-stars Wilson, Chambers, Pickens and Knight will take home roughly $125,000 per episode.
Patrick Dempsey, Sandra Oh and Katherine Heigl are still in negotiations and if you'll remember, Heigl was pretty vocal about her status at the negotiation table last week. Kate Walsh will also receive a new salary bump, but due to her impending status on the Grey's spin-off, those details were not released to the press. Isaiah Washington's salary status is unknown at this time, but rumor has it that due to the Isaiahgate scandal that has plagued the series over the past few months, Washington may not receive a salary bump at all this year. Let's hope that under the terms of the revised contracts, the cast must stay clear of negative press for a while.

I am addicted to the show here in Australia and I am amazed as to why Ellen Pompeo earns $75,000 more than the others…..
I don’t understand that either. She is not the best actor on the show. I wouldn’t be sorry if Catherine Heigl wasn’t happy with her raise and left the show. I look so forward to the show each week and I hate when they waste time with Izzy. They have ruined her character. She just says whatever she wants to because she is always right and no one else’s opinion matters. Now that she slept with George, I dislike her even more.
