From Law & Order to the White House
Friday June 1, 2007
What should a Senator from Tennessee do when he gets bored with politics? He jumps ship and becomes a member of the cast of NBC's primetime staple Law & Order. And what happens when one gets bored with that job? I guess the best path to take would be straight to the White House! That's right folks, Law & Order actor Fred Thompson has asked to be let out of his contract and is about to jump into the presidency shark tank. Thompson has put in his bid for the Republican presidential nomination and will go up against Rudolph W. Giuliani, Mitt Romney and Sen. John McCain in the battle for the GOP nomination. Will his conservative politics help him win the election?
Hot on the heels of Thompson's exit from the series, NBC announced that former Kidnapped star Jeremy Sisto has joined the cast of Law & Order as a character in the police department recently vacated by Milena Govich.
