Tuesday Television Premieres
Tuesday September 25, 2007
The Monday night television premieres were fantastic, but tonight is the biggest night of the season as there are eight dramas to fill your dance card. Tonight's premieres include six returning favorites, two new dramas and only one ratings winner in each timeslot. Will Dr. Crabby Pants remain king of the night or will the Devil's own steal his thunder?
Tuesday's Premiere Schedule:
8pm NCIS on CBS
8pm Bones on Fox
9pm The Unit on CBS
9pm House on Fox
9pm Reaper on The CW
9:30pm Boston Legal on ABC
10pm Cane on CBS
10pm Law & Order: Special Victims Unit on NBC
Cane: This series focuses on the power struggle between two Cuban-American familes in the sugar and rum business. As greed, love, lust and the quest for power fuels these two families, the conflicts within the families is where the real drama lies.
Chance of Success: 50/50. Historically, CBS has had no luck in the 10pm timeslot on Tuesdays in many years. Bringing Jimmy Smits into the CBS family could prove successful, but Cane has two established dramas to compete with and viewers might be weary of changing that channel.
Reaper: Some of the best minds in the biz (including Kevin Smith) bring us this promising dramedy about a young adult who becomes a bounty hunter for the devil. His job may be scary at times, but he soon realizes that capturing evil beings is much more satisfying than sitting around playing videogames all day.
Chance of Success: I'm cautiously optimistic. Reaper is a wonderful new dramedy and I think the CW may have a new generation hit on their hands, but the devil does go up against House and that could spell trouble. Let's just hope TPTB at the CW take this into consideration and give this series a chance to find an audience. The CW is airing an encore of Reaper at 9pm Thursday.

Maybe on Cane-no on Reaper-no Bionic woman – we did that already & this one doesn’t look any better-yes yes on SVU they actually have writers & talent still. Caveman is the WORST, I hated the ad- thank god geico moved on to another , but a whole show of incredibly ugly men & awful dialogue–PLEASE
Sorry ,left out House- Reaper can’t go agst it. As usual we have junk & then the good stuff is jammed together Cane can’t make it agst. Boston Legal, sometimes great, or L & O.
