Friday Television Premieres
Thursday October 11, 2007
Last spring, fans were a bit ticked when ABC yanked Men in Trees off the schedule with the promise of a return in the near future. Thanks to the success of mid-season replacement October Road, weeks later ABC announced that the series would not return until the fall. What happens to those remaining unaired episodes? Well, if Men in Trees thrives in its new timeslot, fans will enjoy an extra long season watching Marin and her new friends find love and adventure in beautiful Alaska. Joining Men in Trees on Friday nights is Women's Murder Club, the heavily promoted ABC series based on those nail biting James Paterson books. With these two series back-to-back, can ABC reclaim their TGIF status after all these years?
Friday Premiere Schedule:
9pm Women's Murder Club on ABC
10pm Men in Trees on ABC
Women's Murder Club: This series based on James Patterson’s bestselling novels, revolves around four women in four different fields of law enforcement (a detective, a district attorney, a medical examiner and a reporter) who work together by pooling their resources to help solve crimes in San Francisco.
Chance of Success: 50/50. Friday nights are always a bit tricky when it comes to viewership. This is a great series, so if viewers would just tune in once, they'll be hooked in no time.
