Writers Headed Back to the Negotiation Table
Saturday November 17, 2007
The future of television has been looking bleak since the Writers Guild put down their golden pens and began picketing the studios. Production on many sets has been shut down, crew members are losing their jobs, some actors on various television shows are losing their paychecks and late night talk shows have been airing repeats since the strike began on November 5. It's only a matter of time before our favorite dramas go black and new reality shows invade our living rooms. However, all this doom and gloom may be coming to and end sooner than we thought -- the WGA and the Alliance of Motion Picture & Television Producers are headed back to the negotiation table! The first formal meeting is set to take place on November 26 and with any luck, fans may very well see their favorite shows make it through the season with new and exciting episodes.
