Journeyman to Travel No More

If only Dan Vasser could have traveled back in time and distributed Nielsen boxes to families who love sci-fi themed television shows. It is with heavy heart that I bring you news that NBC's time travel series Journeyman has not been picked-up for the "back nine." It seems as though that 10pm Monday time slot is to NBC what the 10pm Tuesday time slot is to CBS -- the TV series death slot, as it seems nothing is destined to perform well for either network on those nights and times. The final two episodes of Journeyman are scheduled to air on December 17 and 19.

Fans Rally to Save Journeyman!
There may be a light at the end of the tunnel for Journeyman fans. Several weeks ago, worried that a cancellation might be forthcoming, many dedicated fans began organizing a Save Journeyman campaign. When NBC aired an episode of Life in place of Journeyman on December 3, campaign members spread the word to go download episodes on iTunes, which ultimately crashed the iTunes server. Like nuts for Jericho and Tabasco Sauce for Roswell, the latest fan campaign involves sending boxes of Rice-a-Roni (Dan Vasser lives in San Francisco) to the NBC offices in New York and Los Angeles. Could another unprecedented fan campaign work its magic again and save this worthy series? If I've learned one thing in this business, it's to never underestimate the power and passion of the fans!
