Jericho Returns for Season Two

Tuesday February 12, 2008
When the fans of the post-apocalyptic drama Jericho learned that CBS had canceled the series, they went nuts - literally! The fans launched an unprecedented campaign to save the show and the New York and Los Angeles CBS offices were the lucky recipients of more than 20 tons of peanuts. It worked and the show was renewed for a season consisting of seven episodes (and a plea from CBS to please stop sending nuts).

As the series returns this week, viewers will find that change is the name of the game in this small town. Esai Morales joins the cast as Major Beck, the man in charge of getting Jericho back on their feet and he'll look to Jake to be his right-hand man. The 'Nuts for Jericho' campaigners should keep a close eye in the scene immediately following the opening title sequence -- those peanuts scored a cameo.

After watching the first three episodes of the season, I am happy report that in my opinion, Jericho is better than ever. Each incredibly intense episode is loaded with so much information, I almost felt as though I was watching a series finale – yet each episode led into another piece of the satisfying puzzle that is Jericho. TPTB obviously went to great lengths to reward the fans for their tremendous efforts.
