Men in Trees: The Latest and Eco-Greatest Fan Campaign

Saturday February 23, 2008
Roswell had Tabasco Sauce, Jericho had nuts and now fans are looking to save ABC's Men in Trees the environmentally friendly way. Internet fans from all walks of life have banded together to not only bring Men in Trees back for a third season, but to plead with ABC to finally stop playing musical time slots and give this series a permanent home.

The Campaign: Plant it Forward

Did you know that planting 5,000 food trees could yield up to 50 million lbs. of food for starving people over the lifespan of the tree? Plant it Forward wants to donate 5,000 trees to be planted in needy countries. To date, the generous fans of Men in Trees have donated 3,000 trees. It's not too late to save this fantastic series, and at the same time be instrumental in helping make the planet a little more eco-friendly by planting thousands of trees that will feed starving people all over the world. This certainty give new meaning to the term "grassroots campaign"!

Men in Trees is a great show and this is a great, beneficial, and environmental way to show ABC how much support the show has. The fact that the show has a large fan-base after 5 time-slot changes in less than two years goes to show you how much the fans love the show. I can’t wait to watch it again on Wednesday February 27th at 10 pm!

Wow! Fantastic idea to save a show, help the enviornment and feed people simultandously. Peanuts and the like pale by comparison. Men in Trees is a unique show with an underrated talented cast and crew, an enormously creative writing team that comes together in the spectacular location of fictious Elmo, Alaska. Anyone who hasn’t should check it out on Wednesday February 27th at 10:00pm.

I love MIT so much that I created a fan site for all of its fans, and as web-mommy, I try to update it on a regular basis, adding pictures from wherever I can, news, words from the cast members, trivia games, and lots, lots more.
Besides this, what other show has shown such support that their viewers are buying trees that will bring food to impoverished countries for many years to come?
Jenny Bicks & her crew of writers give us great storylines and entertainment in the fictitional town of Elmo, Alaska - makes ya almost wanna go there, doesn’t it?
I can’t wait for its return this Wed., 2/27 at 10pm/9pm - If you haven’t yet watched it, now’s your chance! You’ll be hooked, I guarantee it!

This is my favorite show. And I was so pleased to become a part of the Plant It Forward campaign! Not only are we saving a smart, funny, witty, and entertaining romantic comedy/drama but we are actually doing something incredible at the same time by planting food trees that will produce food for people whom really need it for many years to come and helping the environment. It’s a win, win situation. See you Wednesday, 10pm PST in Elmo!!
