9021-OH! Our Favorite Zip Code May Spinoff
Thursday March 13, 2008
From Seinfeld and Friends to NYPD Blue and The X-Files, television in the '90s was truly a magical time. In the '90s, one of the most popular television dramas resided in a zip code none of us will ever forget. When Beverly Hills 90210 premiered in 1990, nobody expected just how popular an Aaron Spelling show about pampered rich kids would become -- it was the American Idol of its time.
90210 ran for 10 years on Fox and produced close to 300 episodes. Two years after its premiere, the popularity of the show prompted Aaron Spelling and Darren Star to make a little spinoff series called Melrose Place. Spelling and Star struck gold once again and these two series propelled several relatively unknown actors into instant stardom.
Kristen from E! Online reports that the CW is confirming that they are in talks to make a spinoff of the popular series and that Veronica Mars creator Rob Thomas may take charge of the series.
What do you think? Are we ready for another Brandon Walsh and a Brenda-Dylan-Kelly triangle?
