A New Zip Code for Hilary Duff?
Saturday April 26, 2008
In the last two years, there hasn't been as much hoopla surrounding a new drama series as what the 90210 remake is generating. I think the buzz may even surpass the pre-Heroes, Lost and Desperate Housewives days. From the network to the viewers, the excitement people are feeling over a series that hasn't even hired the entire cast yet is becoming more impressive each passing day.
The latest major casting news to hit the big zip is that movie star Hilary Duff has been "approached" to take on a role in the series. E! Online reports that the producers have offered Duff the coveted role of Annie Mills, 90210's leading lady (the new Brenda Walsh). Landing a star of this caliber might very well make the CW a contender in the never-ending ratings war!
Would a star as big as Hilary Duff leave the big screen for a television role? It's been known to happen -- James Woods, Forest Whitaker, Ray Liotta, Hayden Panettiere and many other film stars have crossed over. When it comes to television, anything is possible these days.
