In a case of life imitating art, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation star Gary Dourdan has been arrested in Palm Springs on suspicion of drug possession.

According to TMZ.com, Dourdan was found sleeping in his car at 5:21 a.m. Monday morning after a patrol officer observed his vehicle parked on the wrong side of the road. People Magazine reports that the officer found Dourdan to be "disoriented and possibly under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs."

Upon further investigation, the actor was found to be in possession of prescription pills, cocaine, heroin and ecstasy. He was then arrested, spent five hours in custody and was released on $5,000 bail.

Doudan has portrayed Warrick Brown on CSI since the series began in 2000. Earlier this month, the actor decided not to renew his contract for the 2008-09 season.
