The WB Returns....Sort Of

When the WB and UPN announced plans to merge into one network, viewers were cautiously optimistic. We were understandably concerned about whether or not the CW would hold on to fan favorite series such as Everwood, Gilmore Girls and Veronica Mars. Sadly, all of those series are now gone, but they were never forgotten -- least of all by the WB.

Are you ready to return to the WB?

In an effort to raise the stakes in the world of new media, Warner Bros. Television Group will revive the WB network via the Internet. When TheWB.com video site launches next month, viewers will have the ability to watch episodes of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Roswell, Everwood, Gilmore Girls, The O.C. and many more popular series.
"These hit shows still have an incredible amount of equity with their audiences, who grew up with these characters and went through significant events in their lives just as some of the characters did on the programs," said Brent Poer, General Manager, TheWB.com.

"And now, through TheWB.com, users will be able to take an unprecedented level of control over their own entertainment experience by easily editing, remixing, and literally ‘playing’ with their favorite shows. We’re giving the users final cut."
In addition to the relaunch of TheWB.com, a Facebook fan page has been created to integrate additional content from Warner Bros. TheWB.com is expected to launch in Beta next month.
