Is Michael J. Fox Headed Back to Television?
Tuesday July 8, 2008
Alex P. Keaton fans rejoice -- Michael J. Fox may be headed back to a living room near you! Michael Ausiello from Entertainment Weekly reports that the popular actor is in talks to appear in a multi-episode arc on Rescue Me.
Fox's character will become a major headache for Tommy when he gets involved with his ex-wife Janet. Given the events that occurred during season four, how much longer do you think it'll be before Tommy finally goes over the edge?
The four-time Emmy winner became a household name when he portrayed Alex P. Keaton on Family Ties from 1982-1989. After starring in many successful movies such as Back to the Future, Teen Wolf and Doc Hollywood, he returned to the small screen in 1996 as Mike Flaherty on ABC's Spin City. His last television role was in 2006, when he appeared in six episodes of Boston Legal (and earned him another Emmy nomination).
I'd love to see this tremendous actor shake things up on Rescue Me, so cross your fingers and toes. The fifth season is currently slated to return in March.
