As the Grey's of Our Lives Turns - Will Shonda Kill Izzie?

Once again, it looks like yet another scandal is brewing on the set of Grey's Anatomy. I can't help but wonder if ABC should create some sort of hybrid reality-soap opera series about the goings on behind the scenes of the hit ABC series. It would probably score American Idol-like ratings and they would never run out of storylines.
When Katherine Heigl announced that she had decided to keep herself out of the running for an Emmy this year because she "did not feel she was given the material this season to warrant an Emmy nomination," we knew it wouldn't be long before something big hit the fan.
E! Online reports that life on the set of Grey's Anatomy is not pleasant at all. To make matters worse, creator Shonda Rhimes may even be considering killing off Dr. Izzie!
Heigl has been pushing buttons for some time now, making it painfully obvious that she is looking for a way to get out of her contract. Will TPTB finally grant her wish? Would they actually kill off this popular character? After being a fan of shows such as 24 and Prison Break, where main characters are killed off all the time, not much would shock me anymore -- but would those die-hard Izzie fans still tune in once the dust settles?

Maybe they should let Rhimes go. If she cannot control her actors there’s something wrong with her management skills. Seriously.
KH is such a diva. Great actresses can turn a crappy script into a work of art. She shouldn’t bite the hand that feeds her.
I think KH is to big for her britches. Let her go. She is in the early stages of pulling a Shannen….
I would totally still watch the show with her gone.
Izzie is a popular character? Seriously? Nobody I know likes her anymore. She’s obnoxious and KH is not a very good actress.
She did have a crappy role last season.
I think Heigl had a good run, but whatever spark she had at the beginning is so far gone. Her character is boring and one dimensional now, it’s time to let her go.
Keep Rhimes the brains behind the show! Bye Heigl. There are more than enough wonderful actors to keep me coming back to the show.
I would still tune in, Izzy is not one of my favorite characters.
The show lost over 20% of it’s viewers because they are trying to be shocking and controversial instead of delivering good stories like they used to. Grey’s Anatomy fans were pretty dedicated but the show sure isn’t aiming to please their target audience. The last few shows were better suited to the LOGO channel than ABC. I don’t blame KH for being disappointed in the quality of last seasons shows. I’m sure they all are, she’s the only one that’s brave enough to speak her mind. I’ll give the show one more chance in September, but if the first episode keeps harping on the gay theme I’m looking for another show to watch. I’m not homophobic but watching two girls make out is not my idea of entertainment. My sister works at a hospital and she said everyone quit watching the show last season.
she is not my favourite character but am no longer devoted since Isaiah left. The show needs to focus otherwise it will lose control.
I love Izzy and the show would lose alot without her on it! Why when you have it right do you want to go and change things!? The cast is wonderful leave it alone and keep writing good roles for all on the show!!
KH is a real diva. If she wants a way out from GA then let her go. Her role is not very important anyway, any actor could replace her.
its a pity Izzie will have to go, I think she does justice to her role and she is cute in acting out the role. I hope they bring back Danny Duquette as he is a hot actor
