Returning This Week: Law & Order

In a season where viewers seem to be vanishing off the face of the planet faster than any of our favorite Heroes, NBC has decided to bring in the big guns a little earlier than planned. This week, the original Law & Order returns to their old stomping grounds on Wednesday nights at 10pm (ET).

Of course, bringing back the popular crime drama doesn't come without a little game of musical time slots -- Lipstick Jungle has been deported to Friday nights (sorry folks, it doesn't bode well for this show) and Life will get a shot in a decent slot between Knight Rider and Law & Order on Wednesday nights.

An exciting season lies ahead for viewers with a lineup of fascinating cases and equally fascinating guest stars that include Ned Beatty, Sherry Stringfield, Jena Malone, Katee Sackhoff, Tom Everett Scott and Vivica A. Fox.
