Is Lipstick Jungle Dead or Alive?
Tuesday November 18, 2008
When word got out last week that NBC had canceled Lipstick Jungle, I don't think anyone was really surprised. Once the struggling series was sent packing to Friday nights (or as many call it, the hospice time slot), the writing was on the wall. Well, hang on to those Manolos folks; The New York Times reports that Lipstick Jungle isn't quite as dead as we thought!
According to the Times, viewership from last week's episode grew 50% once all the DVR and other data was analyzed. NBC will continue to produce all 13 episodes as planned -- however, they have yet to order the back nine. Kristin at E! Online hints that if NBC chooses not to renew the series, it's possible the producers will shop around for a new home.
Can this show be saved? Fans of the series are sending lipstick to NBC, so if you would like to get involved, be sure to check out the latest Lipstick Jungle fan campaign.

Lipstick? That’s funny. I do hope the show is renewed, though.
I’m going to produce a show called Chocolate something or other, gain fans, and then announce that I’m canceling it!
I like the Friday night time slot. There’s not much on that day. Hope they stick it out. I really like the show!
I pray that there is hope that it will not be cancelled, it was a non-cop, law or doctor show I enjoyed. Do not get me wrong I do like those too, lipstick jungle was a great break, like the starter wife. My lipstick is in the mail.
Just when I find a good show for women,”Bang” there it goes.
This is a good show for working and stay home moms. Please don’t cancel this show…
I hope it doesn’t get cancelled. It’s pretty good this year. If does get cancelled, they better get Joe and Victory together first!
