Grey's Anatomy fans have patiently waited for Meredith and Derek to finally get it right and the big payoff is due to take place in just a few short weeks. What in the world does one get for this complicated couple? How about a brain?
No, I'm not being snarky. In honor of Meredith and Derek's big day, ABC has chosen to add the American Academy of Neurology Foundation to the online wedding registry for the happy couple. For just $5, fans of the show can buy a virtual brain. 100% of the donations will go to fund research for hundreds of neurological conditions, including autism, Parkinson’s disease, and brain tumors to name a few.

What a wonderful idea! Who would ever have thought of the idea of giving Meredith and Derek a wedding gift, but this is really an inspired idea that will really help a lot of people in an ongoing way! Bravo to the creators of this fantastic, unique way of giving back!!!
