Farrah Fawcett Passes Away at 62

Television icon Farrah Fawcett has lost her battle with cancer at the age of 62. With longtime companion Ryan O'Neal and best friend Alana Stewart by her side, the actress passed away in the ICU unit at St. John's Hospital in Santa Monica, CA.
Fawcett was diagnosed in 2006 with anal cancer, went into remission in February of 2007, only to learn that the cancer had returned in May of 2007. Over the past two years, she had undergone experimental treatment in Germany.
Ryan O'Neal released the following message about the death of his longtime love:
"After a long and brave battle with cancer, our beloved Farrah has passed away. Although this is an extremely difficult time for her family and friends, we take comfort in the beautiful times that we shared with Farrah over the years and the knowledge that her life brought joy to so many people around the world."The former Charlie's Angel star will be sorely missed and never forgotten.
