Production on ABC's FlashForward has been shut down -- is our new addiction in trouble already? Relax, take a deep breath and take comfort in knowing that the series is safe... for now.
EW's Michael Ausiello was the first to break the news that the show had shut down production, setting off a flurry of articles all over the internet that had many speculating that the series was in big trouble following a drop in the ratings last week.
A rep from ABC confirmed to Ausiello that since they started production early in the season, they had the ability to take a little break. "They want to maintain the high quality of the show, and this gives the writers the opportunity to do so," the rep explains.
Production on FlashForward is set to resume on November 30. The fall finale airs on December 3.
Note to ABC -- if you decide to cancel this fabulous drama, please, oh please could you let us know how and why the whole planet blacked out? Does Demitri die? Will Olivia cheat on Mark? Will Mark solve the Mosaic case? Providing closure on the fates of the main characters would be an added bonus and might even go a long way in getting viewers to stop throwing things at their TV's.

I couldn’t agree more! Ratings go up and down all the time.
I myself watch the show after tivoing it. ABC has so many horrendous shows, and arguably ‘V’ isn’t doing any better than FF.
Having said that, the last episode including Dr. Varley was “the” worst episode of the season. My attention span depleted, and my mind was saved by FOX’s “Fringe”, which was a stellar episode about the omnious observers.
I think the writers should give us more about the people involved in FF. A main character, shouldn’t be allotted an entire 40 minutes, especially someone who has a meaningless story like Bryce.
Honestly i’d love to watch what Simon did during his FlashForward for the entire season. But no, they give us boring Bryce.
