She may be the perfect little wife on Mad Men, but in real life January Jones may have gotten herself into a bit of a legal mess after crashing into three parked vehicles and then leaving the scene of an accident.
As first reported by TMZ, Jones was on her way home from The London West Hollywood Hotel when she was allegedly pursued by two paparazzi. After she hit three parked vehicles, Jones pulled over, and about 10 minutes later, celebrity chef Bobby Flay turned up and convinced her to go home.
Jone then gave her license to a witness and went home to call 911. She did return to the scene 45 minutes later, freshly changed and chewing gum. One witness told TMZ that she had smelled alcohol on her breath (Flay even admitted that he observed Jones drinking a beer) and that she had not seen any paparazzi in the area.
Cops did not administer a field sobriety test because there was no evidence of alcohol at the scene and since Jones had gone home for a while, she could have had a drink after the accident.
A spokesperson for the LAPD issued the following statement to TMZ: "She wasn't under the influence of anything. No one got hurt. There is no investigation."
Why would someone hit 3 parked cars, call Bobby Flay for help and then flee the scene of an accident? I guess stranger things have happened in L.A. I wonder what kind of spin Don Draper would put on this one?!
