A new chapter in Carrie Bradshaw's life is coming to the CW this January.
After more than a year in the planning and production process, the CW is finally ready to debut The Carrie Diaries on Monday, January 14. The series is a prequel to the popular HBO series Sex & the City and has been one of the most buzzed-about new series of the season for the CW.
The Carrie Diaries is based on the novels by Candace Bushnell and centers around a teenage Carrie Bradshaw in the '80s as she meets the true love of her life -- New York City. After recently losing her mother, Carrie helps her father by taking on more responsibilities around the house, which include trying to get a handle on her rebellious sister. When Carrie's father arranges for her to intern at a law firm in New York City, she jumps at the chance and is instantly enthralled with everything NYC has to offer and the tale begins...
