The end of season two on 24 was almost as big a shocker as Nina killing Jack's wife at the end of season one. In case you forgot, President Palmer shook hands with terrorist, Mandy, and seconds later, his hand cracked open and started oozing and then he collapsed.
When season three began, it was three years later, Jack was head of Field Ops, Chase worked for Jack and Kim Bauer worked for CTU. Soon into season three, Jack breaks things off with Kate Warner and it was revealed that he was a heroin addict.
How did Kim come to work at CTU? Where did Chase come from? What happened to the President after he collapsed? The answers to those questions have been revealed via 24: The Game.
Warning: Spoilers Ahead!
President Palmer: In the game, he is under a doctor's care and is having heart problems caused from the attack. The stress of this new day in video game time is causing his heart to strain to alarming levels. The Vice-President is now the acting President and is currently under attack.
Jack Bauer: Jack is leading his Field OPs team to locate Ricin bombs from exploding around LA. He is dealing with bad guy, Madsen, who has kidnapped Kim.
Kim Bauer: Kim arrives for her first day as an intern at CTU. In usual Kim Bauer fashion, she manages to get herself kidnapped. In the end, it is Chase and Jack who save her from Madsen.
Chase Edmunds: Chase is working deep undercover for CTU:DC. He arrives in LA in the early afternoon and begins working for Madsen. Chase spends most of the day working for Madsen, but helps Jack save the day.
Nina Myers: Nina has a very brief appearance, but it is clear she is heavily involved in the events that unfold on this day.
Chloe O'Brien: It is clear that Chloe and Chase already knew each other before the day began. Chloe acts like, well, Chloe.
Tony and Michelle: These two are very active in the game, but no big spoilers were revealed.
Kate Warner: Jack and Kate are obviously very much together. It's not clear how long they have had a relationship, but Jack risks his life to save Kate when she is kidnapped.
All in all, this was a fun game, but as a non-videogamer, I was able to beat it within four days. I don't believe advanced videogamers will find this game to be too challenging. I recommend renting the game, rather than spending your hard-earned money.
