Synopsis:
Being one of television's greatest American heroes isn't easy for CTU (Counter Terrorism Unit) Agent Jack Bauer. Each heart-stopping season spans a twenty-four hour time period (each episode covering a real-time hour) in which Jack and his team must track down and disable some of the most dangerous terrorists on the planet.

- Jack's wife, Teri, was murdered in season one by Nina Myers.

Trivia:
- Since the pilot episode involved a plane crash, the series premiere was postponed due to the tragic events that occurred on 9/11.
- Teri Bauer wasn't originally supposed to be killed, but TPTB decided that viewers needed to understand that no character was truly safe from death.
- During season 5, a cell phone displayed a real phone number instead of the standard "555" digits. More than 50,000 calls were made to this number and cast members took turns answering the phone for a few lucky fans.
- Former President Bill Clinton is a big fan of the show.
- As of season 7, we have yet to see Jack take a bathroom break.
