2010 Golden Globe Nominees & Winners

The Hollywood Foreign Press announced their nominees and winners for the 2010 Golden Globe Awards and once again, the cable shows dominated each of the major categories. Could network television eventually be a thing of the past? As strange as that may sound, when you think in terms of the quality of shows such as Mad Men or Big Love, where the writers have more creative control, viewers would be treated to an endless array of absolutely fantastic television. Imagine the possibilities!

This year's Golden Globe ceremony was basically uneventful and I hate to say it -- a bit dull. Ricky Gervais was awkward as host and most of the presenters seemed stiff and overly rehearsed (or perhaps under rehearsed?). Whatever the case may be, I was terribly disappointed by the actual ceremony, but quite satisfied with this year's nominees and winners....
