Set in an Irish-American town called "The Hill" in Providence, Rhode Island, Brotherhood follows the lives of the Caffee brothers. One brother is a gangster, the other a politician, the Caffee brothers are living their lives on opposite ends of the law, with both having their own twisted view on what the American dream means.
Is it worth your precious viewing time?
Brotherhood is a winner and definitely worth your precious viewing time! If you love shows like The Sopranos and The Shield, you'll be right at home with Brotherhood. While I found the show a bit on the violent side, I was shocked by the events that took place -- and that's a good thing. I found the show to be edgy and unpredictable, a nice change of pace from the normal, everyday series we see year after year. The only downside is that I found the plot to be a little confusing at times, but I am confident my questions will be answered as the series plays out.Why only four and a half stars?
I felt the violence was a little over the top at times. In defense of the show, I think they're trying to do something different by upping that shock factor -- they're playing for keeps.Cast
