- Sally Field was not cast in the original pilot, Betty Buckley was the first actress to play Nora Walker.
- Balthazar Getty was reportedly written out of the series because of problems between the actor and his fellow cast members. He was supposed to be killed off, but the writers chose to keep him alive and on the run from the law.
