'Cold Case' Synopsis and General Information

After 7 seasons, CBS canceled the series. 156 episodes were produced and all have aired in primetime.

Each episode of Cold Case features songs from the year in which the crime took place.

"Hope lives...because the evidence never dies."

An interesting premise, a great show. So many crime/cop dramas solve their cases in the one hour time period, so this show realistically portrays cases that have never been solved, making the storytelling that much more interesting. While I don't place Cold Case on my must-watch list, I do enjoy viewing this show whenever I have a chance.

Sadly, when cases go unsolved after a certain amount of time, the police will place it in their "cold case" bin. Very rarely do these cases ever get reopened unless something new (and significant) comes along.

On the CBS crime drama Cold Case, when Lilly Rush and her team of detectives from the Philadelphia homicide squad begin working on one of these cases, they're sure to get the job done once and for all thanks in large part to a fresh pair of eyes and the vastly improved scientific methods at now available at their disposal.

Each episode/case, right down to the music, will take viewers back to that specific period of time -- sit back and enjoy the trip down memory lane for an hour each week!
