An Interview with Marlene Forte (Mrs. Garza, Day Break)

Q: Tell us about your role on Day Break.

Marlene: "My role is lots of fun. Taye Diggs is just a sweetheart to work with, he's just as beautiful as he is to work with. I play Mrs. Garza, the D.A.'s wife, who he (Taye Diggs) gets accused of killing. Throughout the season, the day keeps on repeating and he keeps trying to change one thing a day to change the whole day and figure out what's going on. I come in around episode 7 and basically become the only eye witness that says I saw him standing over my husband with a gun, but it seems I might be lying."

Q: How many episodes will you appear on Day Break?

Marlene: "I'm on three so far."

Q: If you could play any role on any existing series, what would it be?

Marlene: "I would still like to get on 24 and this is kind of a creepy show, but Dexter."

Q: What's ahead for you?

Marlene: "I am recently remarried and his name is Oliver Mayer and he's a successful playwright out here. He's published, he produces and he teaches at USC. He wooed me with a play about three years ago. This one thing that was missing for me out here was theater and I met this wonderful man and he bought me a theater. Right after Thanksgiving, we're going to drive up to the Magic Theater and do a reading of Dark Matters."
