Previously on Desperate Housewives....

The second season might not have been as fantastic as season one, but the finale definitely stepped it up a notch and laid the groundwork for season three. Zach killed his grandfather by unplugging his life support and acquired his entire estate. The Applewhite mystery was solved as Betty realized that Matthew, not Caleb was the one who murdered his girlfriend. As Danielle and Matthew prepared to run away, Bree stopped them and Matthew held a gun on her. A sniper's bullet struck and killed Matthew. As Mike was headed to a very special dinner with Susan, he was run over by Orson, the dentist.

Lynette discovered that Tom didn't cheat, he found out he was the father of a child from a brief encounter he had 12 years ago. The mother and child are moving just a few minutes away from Wisteria Lane. Gaby discovered Carlos and Xiao-Mei are having an affair, so she threw Carlos out and told Xiao-Mei that she will stay with her until she has the baby.

Season three picks up six months later. During that time, Bree has become heavily involved with Orson, Susan has been by Mike's (who is in a coma) bedside and Gaby has been dealing with her husband's betrayal.

Orson will propose to Bree and there will be a wedding!

While visiting Mike in the hospital, Susan meets a new man (played by Dougray Scott) whose wife is also in a coma. Expect sparks to fly.

Lynette tries real hard to keep a positive attitude about Tom's new family but it's not easy to say the least.

We'll begin to learn more about Orson's mysterious past.
