"You're a Good Man, Andy Brown"

Although Jake (Scott Wolf) is back from rehab and going to 12-step meetings every night, Nina (Stephanie Niznik) realizes she has no idea how to deal with his recovery. Andy (Treat Williams) cancels his first internet date to give Nina emotional support. Amy (Emily VanCamp) tries to impress Professor Fields (guest star Leslie Hope) by using her father (Tom Amandes), which results in Dr. Abbot lying to his daughter about his past.

Ephram (Gregory Smith) encourages Kyle (guest star Steven R. McQueen) to meet with his long-absent father, opening old wounds for Ephram regarding his own lost son. When Delia (Vivien Cardone) asks Andy to listen to the rough draft of her Bat Mitzvah speech, he is deeply touched by her memories and her message.
