Q: Do you have any projects in the works?
James: "Yes, I have a show coming up called Psych-Out, it's a psychic challenge, kind of like American Idol. We're going to interview people all over the country and they'll come together and do a challenge each week. For the one who wins the challenge, I'm going to help them get a book deal, a car and a telephone line. I have a development deal with Paramount Television, so I'm working on developing different TV shows, I'm doing a Halloween special and I'm writing three books right now."
Q: Do you have anything to say to those looking for comfort from loved ones who have passed on?
James: "People should check out my website, vanpraagh.com, it's a great place to be because we have a free chat room and we have people there dealing with grief issues and we have people there helping them all the time. Every Tuesday night, we have talks with people like Doreen Virtue, psychics, body readers, healers...it's a great forum! It's a great place for them to go when dealing with grief.
Death is an illusion; your loved ones are always around you. The soul cannot die, the soul is eternal. I do believe this is our schoolroom, we are here to learn lessons, the hardest lesson we learn is detachment and I think people need to realize that they're never alone. Death never goes without leaving a gift behind and it's up to us to have the faith and courage to open up those gifts and find out what they are and use them."
