This year's big Emmy winner, Homeland received nominations in all major categories and I wouldn't be at all surprised to see them take home wins once again.
Interestingly enough, perennial nominee Mad Men did not get a nod for best drama despite its critically acclaimed season. Jon Hamm did manage to squeak by with a nod for best actor, but that's all the series managed to grab this year. Could this be the beginning of the end for Mad Men? Perhaps the voters have decided the time was right for some new blood to grab the spotlight -- there are some terrific dramas out there and while I believe Mad Men to be a brilliant series in every sense of the word, I think the time has come to recognize the other great dramas on the primetime lineup.
Did your favorites get a nod? Find out who takes home the gold when the Golden Globes air January 13, 2013 on NBC.
Best Drama Series Who Should Win?: Homeland has consistently brought their A-Game to the table, never disappointing... ever! That's not to say the others have not done the same, but it's one of the few dramas where every single character (including the secondaries) brings everything they have to the table. I believe Homeland will mimic the Emmys and bring home the gold in all major categories.
