Hiro and Ando travel five years into the future and find that life for the heroes has become a perilous existence. The bomb (a.k.a. Peter) has gone off and millions of lives were lost.

To make matters worse, the heroes have become the hunted and any who are caught have been subjected to imprisonment and even death.

The future President works to fix the problems of the world while Ando and Hiro prepare for the apocalyptic battle and find familiar people along the way - but are they good or evil?

Things go from bad to worse when Hiro and Ando worry about when and if they will be able to return to the present to warn all the heroes about the future.
