What if you lived in a small town and suddenly the entire town is cut off from the rest of the world? When a nuclear cloud is spotted, the town of Jericho, Kansas is led to believe the worst as happened and that they may the only people alive. Complete chaos ensues and puts the entire town in danger, not from the threat of the possible nuclear explosion, but from each other.
Is it Worth Your Precious Viewing Time?
Absolutely! Jericho delivers that "what if" factor in a very real and poignant way. The pilot episode beautifully sets up the foundational history of the main characters. As the events unfolded, I couldn't help but feel the emotions of each of the characters and often wondered how I and those around me would react if a nuclear mushroom was spotted off in the distance. After one episode, I was hooked and am anxiously awaiting to see how this little town survives the unthinkable.
Chance of Survival?
Pretty good. The Wednesday 8pm competition isn't too fierce. The only big contender will come from ABC's Dancing with the Stars results show. CBS also offers free streaming episodes of Jericho the day after it airs for the entire season.
