Synopsis:
Sam Tyler, a police detective living in present day, finds his world completely turned upside down when he wakes from being hit by a car and realizes he is now living in the year 1973 -- as a police detective!

Extended Show Information:
As Sam adjusts to life in 1973, he meets a woman named Annie, who works for the Police Women's Bureau. Women police officers in 1973 didn't usually walk the beat and were given simple and safe tasks to do. Annie is determined to change those circumstances, which ultimately paves the way for Sam's present-day girlfriend Maya to become a cop.
Not having those modern conveniences such as computers and other crime fighting gadgets, Sam must use his wits to solve crimes or become like the other cops, who don't always follow the rules to get the bad guys. Will Sam ever make it back to the future? Will he want to return once he has built a life in the past?
