After the season three finale shocker in which we learn Jack's "flash back" was really a flash forward, the survivors learned that a ship is on its way to supposedly rescue them. However, don't count on the ship crew to be heroes - in fact, they are far from heroes!

When Desmond returns from the underwater hatch with the news of Charlie's death, he relays the message from Charlie about the ship not being Penny's. As the survivors argue about the intentions of the "rescue ship," they ultimately split into two groups of believers (Jack) and non-believers (Locke).

From what I've heard, the premiere consists of Hurley flash forwards.

Kristen over at E! Online says that someone who died in the season three finale will turn up very much alive and well.
