Q: What is your favorite Mad Men moment to date?
Rich: "I have a couple... A lot of them come from season one because that is when everything was set in motion. I think Don's nostalgia speech at the end of season one - it's hard to hold a candle to that. I loved the 5th episode in the first season when his brother comes back. There were tiny moments in the first season that maybe didn't have a big impact on the story as a whole, but sort of tonally gave an idea of what the show was about. One of those for me was in the "Nixon vs. Kennedy" episode 12 of the first season when there's the big election party. We think Nixon is going to win and the party is clearly over and there is this lovely scene with Paul Kinsley and Joan where they have a post party chat on the steps of the office about why, when they had a relationship, it didn't work. They then have this silent dance in the office as the cameras slowly pan back. That was such a style moment for the show."
Q: How has being on the show changed your life?
Rich: "I am no longer a temp in New York! It has changed my life in a million ways. If I had to make a list of the five moments that changed my life, being cast in the show, getting married and having a kid - those would be some of the watershed moments of my life. Devil Wears Prada allowed this door to open and this show has allowed an infinite amount of doors to open. I think being on a show that the industry appreciates, it's a pretty amazing investment in what I hope will be a career beyond this job."
Q: Anything to say to the fans?
Rich: "Thank you for watching and please tell your friends."
