Synopsis:
An alternative version of Jack Bauer arrives in the form of Patrick Jane, a detective and independent consultant with the California Bureau of Investigation (CBI). Although Jane has the uncanny ability to get the toughest cases solved, he rarely plays by the rules, constantly breaking protocol.
To make matters worse, at one time he pretended to be a psychic medium and gained quite a bit of notoriety.
When Jane is placed on Senior Agent Teresa Lisbon's unit, she "alternates between reluctantly acknowledging Jane's usefulness and blasting him for his theatrics, narcissism and dangerous lack of boundaries."
