'The Carrie Diaries' - The CW
We loved Carrie Bradshaw on HBO's hugely successful series Sex & the City and now we get the chance to meet the legendary character when her love affair began with New York City. Travel back to 1984 when Carrie was a 16-year-old who has just lost her mother and has taken on more responsibility than most girls her age. When Carrie's father Tom offers her a chance to intern at his Manhattan law firm, she jumps at the chance and the adventure begins (of course those who faithfully watched the show and saw the movies know how it progresses as Carrie reaches her forties).
'Cult' - The CW
Over the years, we've seen some crazy things movie and television fans are willing to do in the name of love... or obsession (my personal favorite was when fans of the CBS series Jericho sent 20 tons of nuts to the president of CBS Entertainment.) When Nate Sefton becomes obsessed with a strange TV series and is convinced it is trying to hurt, his brother Jeff, an investigative journalist, launches an investigation after Nate disappears. Jeff, along with a research assistant for the series and a LAPD detective, head down a very dangerous path.
'Deception' (Formally 'Infamous') - NBC
When heiress Vivian Bowers dies from an apparent overdose, her childhood best friend (and the maid's daughter who happened to live at the mansion), Detective Joanna Locasto, goes deep undercover into the Bowers family to figure how and why Vivian really died... or was she murdered?
'Do No Harm' - NBC
Over the years, we've seen the tale of Jekyll & Hyde told in many different ways. In this version, successful neurosurgeon Dr. Jason Cole has spent years suppressing his sociopathic alter-ego, Ian Price by using an experimental drug. When the sedative fails to work, Ian emerges each night, bent on punishing Jason and those he loves -- and more importantly... to insure that Jason never finds a way to keep him at bay.
'The Following' - Fox
Film legend Kevin Bacon comes to the small screen in this exciting crime drama brought to us by The Vampire Diaries creator Kevin Williamson. The series centers around a retired FBI profiler Ryan Hardy who is brought out of retirement to hunt down Joe Carroll, a serial killer he caught many years ago. Hardy believes that Carroll has developed a technology that has created a small army of serial killers. Can Hardy catch these killers before they take over the planet?
'Golden Boy' - CBS
A crime drama centering around Walter William Clark, Jr., a cop who very quickly rises through the ranks of the department and becomes the youngest police commissioner. The story takes place from the viewpoint of Walter years later as he's interviewed for a story as he reflects on his unprecedented rise to the top.
'Hannibal' - NBC
Long before Sir Anthony Hopkins made the character famous, this series delves into the life of Dr. Hannibal Lecter before he was caught. Criminal profiler Will Graham has been on the trail of a serial killer, but can't seem to catch a break, which leads him to seek the help of Dr. Lecter -- completely unaware that he is the very man the detective has been pursuing.
'Red Widow' - ABC
When her husband, an organized crime boss, is brutally murdered, Marta Walraven must act quickly to protect her three children. She soon realizes she has no choice but to step in and take her husband's place if she wants to keep her family safe from the very people who worked for her husband. Can she become a ruthless leader and run the crime syndicate or will she and her family be forced to run for their lives?
'Zero Hour' - ABC
Former ER star Anthony Edwards returns to television in this heart-stopping drama about a publisher for the paranormal magazine, Modern Skeptic, who becomes involved in one of the biggest conspiracies in history that dates back centuries when his wife is kidnapped.
