Synopsis: Centered around Ladder 62 of the New York City Fire Department, Rescue Me tells the stories of NYC's Bravest and the struggles of their day-to-day lives. Denis Leary plays Tommy Gavin, a newly divorced father of two (his son died in season two) who moves across the street from his ex-wife in order to stay close to his children.
Dealing with seeing his wife move on with her life, Tommy takes his frustrations out on the job and his friends, all the while drowning his sorrow in a bottle of whatever is closest. This gritty drama is worth taking a try, but I'd recommend renting seasons one and two in order to catch up with the action.
