When Clark hears Lara crying for help from within the crystal, he releases her, but his joyous reunion is shortened by the arrival of Zor-El.
Lara gifts Clark with a blue kryptonite ring, but as he puts it on, it strips him of his powers thanks to Zor-El.
Zor-El takes over the Fortress of Solitude.
Lex and Chloe discover that Grant and Lois are seeing each other and warn them both to put an end to the relationship.
