"Zod"

Previously on Smallville....

Clark races to find Lex before General Zod morphs into his body. Clark doesn't make it and Lex is transformed. As Brainiac unleashes his virus upon the world, Metropolis goes into a state of extreme chaos, endangering the life of Chloe, who is right in the middle of everything. Lana unaware of Lex's transformation, meets him at the top of the Luthor Corp building as the chaos ensues around them. Clark is trapped inside the glass prison called the Phantom Zone he had held General Zod many months ago and is thrown into outer space. Lois and Martha board a plane unaware that Brainiac is piloting. He sucks the air out of the plane and Lois and Martha are unconscious as the episode ends.

Clark, who is stuck in the Phantom Zone, is now without his powers and is dealing with all of the enemies his father imprisoned.

After taking over Lex's body, Zod keeps Lana captive and demands she give him an heir as begins his plans to turn Earth into a Krypton-like planet using the alien ship's hard drive.

The plane carrying Lois and Martha crashes near the Fortress of Solitude (how convenient!). Jor-el gives Martha the info she needs to kill Zod.

Chloe runs into Jimmy Olsen -- the guy she slept with a couple of summers ago.
