'GCB' Sundays on ABC
Synopsis: Based on the book series Good Christian Bitches, the drama centers around Amanda Vaughn (played by Leslie Bibb), who was once the high school "mean girl," but when she is forced to move back to the town she terrorized as a teenager after a scandal rocks her marriage. Although Amanda is nothing like the girl she was in high school, old habits die hard and memories never fade away. Will her old friends appear to welcome her back with open arms, or are they secretly plotting revenge?

As she races against time to locate her son, we soon realize that Becca will stop at nothing and leave no stone unturned to locate her son... no matter how dangerous her mission becomes or how many rules she must break.

'The River' Tuesdays on ABC
Synopsis: Wildlife expert and TV personality Dr. Emmet Cole (played by Bruce Greenwood) went in search for magic deep in the uncharted Amazon, but never returned. When Dr. Cole's emergency beacon goes off, his wife and son, along with a television crew, go hunting for answers about Cole's mysterious disappearance and wind up on the adventure of their lives as they go deep into the unknown.

Worth Watching?: I thoroughly enjoyed the pilot and am anxiously awaiting episode two. Those who loved shows like Lost will enjoy the mysterious nature of The River. It's a keeper for sure!

'Alcatraz' Mondays on Fox
Synopsis: When Det. Rebecca Madsen works a murder investigation, she soon discovers the fingerprints belonging to her prime suspect are those of a former Alcatraz inmate who died decades ago. Her investigation is then suspiciously impeded by government agent, so Rebecca then teams up with Dr. Soto (played by Jorge Garcia, a renowned expert on Alcatraz. The two soon discover the former prisoner hasn't aged a day in 50 years, leading them to dig deeper into the secret history of this mysterious prison.

Worth Watching: Completely captivating -- among all of the new midseason dramas, Alcatraz is without a doubt, my favorite of the bunch. Oh, and did we happen to mention that television mastermind J.J. Abrams is the man behind the curtain at Alcatraz?

'The Finder' Thursdays on Fox
Synopsis: While serving our country in the Army Military Police, Walter Sherman is blindsided by an IED and upon waking from his coma, he realizes that the brain damage he suffered has given him the special ability to locate people and object nobody else can find. Walter decides to put his gift to work and sets up shop in Key West, taking on cases for the military, politicians and other powerful figures. He is assisted by Ike, a beautiful woman with a mysterious past, and Leo Knox, a former lawyer who serves as Walter's legal advisor.

'Smash' Mondays on NBC
Synopsis: Steven Spielberg delves into a completely different arena with this musical drama jam-packed with an all-star cast. The series centers on the creation of a Broadway production about the life of film legend Marilyn Monroe. Vying for the lead role is an inexperienced, incredibly talented Midwestern girl and an experienced stage veteran who is determined to leave the chorus roles behind and finally become a big star. Behind the scenes are a group of enormously talented, yet highly flawed producers, song writers and directors struggling to make this show a success.

'The Firm' Thursdays on NBC
Synopsis: The best-selling John Grisham novel and blockbuster film comes to the small screen. The story follows Mitchell McDeere, a lawyer who is trying to put his life back together after taking down the firm Bendini, Lambert & Locke ten years ago. Fresh out of the Federal Witness Protection program, Mitch and his family soon realize that their lives are still in danger and new threats are around every corner.
