JT (Benjamin Bratt) and a Special Ops team are dispatched to Detroit where a radical religious group takes over a mosque and keeps its members hostage. JT must balance how much he is able to assist in saving lives with the law that requires that the FBI deal with the situation on their own. Dennis Hopper, Aunjanue Ellis and Kelly Rutherford also star.

When a big-rig trucker is shot to death, Detectives Fontana (Dennis Farina) and Green (Jesse L. Martin) learn that the victim was hauling illegal aliens and suspect a member citizen's border patrol group -- but their only witness is an undocumented Hispanic woman who risks deportation if she testifies. Meanwhile, prosecutor McCoy (Sam Waterston) is incensed when the witness is physically intimidated as he tries to turn one organization member against the other in court. Annie Parisse, S. Epatha Merkerson and Fred Dalton Thompson also star.

Neela (Parminder Nagra) goes on a routine ambulance ride along but soon finds herself in the middle of a plane crash that becomes an experience of a lifetime. Meanwhile, the emergency room opens to trauma victims of the plane crash in which Sam (Linda Cardellini) makes an executive decision that could cause her to lose her job. Neela's bravery has won the respect of her co-workers, and especially ambulance driver Gates (guest star John Stamos, "Full House"), but her day is not over when she receives another surprise. Shane West, Kristen Johnston, Sharif Atkins, Goran Visnjic and Maura Tierney also star.

As Laura (Lake Bell) and Rich (Jay R. Ferguson) race against time in a submersible, they realize the "unidentified species" are laying thousands of eggs on the ocean floor. Meanwhile, Miles (Carter Jenkins) hears a report of a vicious attack on two electricians working on a marine dock -- and suspects that Nimrod may be the culprit. Elsewhere, Phil (Eddie Hassell) stakes out an underwater power cable in hopes of finding Nimrod, only to discover Nimrod now has a lot of underwater friends. Ian Anthony Dale and Leighton Meester star.

The Montecito hosts a comic book convention and Monica (Lara Flynn Boyle) questions Danny's (Josh Duhamel) decision to have it at the hotel, after she's mistaken for Mothwoman by the comic book fans. Meanwhile, Sam (Vanessa Marcil) runs into an old nemesis at a funeral and sparks fly when they get into a confrontation. Elsewhere, Mike (James Lesure) is conducting heavy surveillance on a suspected card cheater on the casino floor.

When Lauren Westley (guest-star Keri Lynn Pratt) is found badly beaten and taken to a New York hospital, it's discovered she's a runaway from Virginia whose father Philip Westley (guest-star Skipp Sudduth, "Third Watch") has been searching for her. Detectives Benson (Mariska Hargitay) and Stabler (Chris Meloni) discover that due to her injuries, a pregnant Lauren suffered a miscarriage, so they question the father of the baby (guest star John Patrick Medori) -- and Westley and Meredith ran away to New York seeking the help from an abortion clinic.
When the case goes to court, Meredith's attorney, (guest-star Annie Potts, "Designing Women") defends Meredith's actions but new evidence questions the credibility of the abortion clinic. Fred Thompson (NBC's "Law & Order") and Judith Light (Who's the Boss?") guest-star.
