New Series for the 2008-09 Season

**ABC**

With a successful line-up now intact, ABC doesn't have too many holes to plug in their fall schedule. After renewing the majority of tried and true primetime dramas such as Desperate Housewives, Grey's Anatomy and Lost, ABC has added only one new drama to make their schedule complete. New on ABC:
  • Life on Mars
**CBS**

Television's number one network heads into the fall season with their powerful line-up of shows such as Criminal Minds, Survivor, and the CSI franchise. All three of last year's fall offerings failed to make the new schedule, so CBS is going to try their hand once again with another crop of fascinating series. Will they have better luck this year? New on CBS: **FOX**

Over the last few years, Fox has kept their schedule fairly light on any one particular genre in favor of a more balanced diet of drama, reality and comedy. Their most successful drama series the past few seasons have been 24 and House, but Fox is about to shake things up by adding shows created by J.J. Abrams and Joss Whedon, two of television's most brilliant minds. Will they give the other networks a run for their money? New on Fox: **NBC**

Building on the success of Heroes, Life and Chuck, NBC heads into the 2008-09 season with three new dramas premiering this fall and an additional four set to debut midseason. After 15 incredible years, Thursday night staple ER will finally take its last bow -- how will it all end? New on NBC: **The CW**

After canceling several popular dramas over the last two years, the ratings-challenged CW played it safe this year by renewing fan favorite shows such as Gossip Girl, Supernatural, Smallville and One Tree Hill. Determined to play in the same league as the big boys, the CW is reviving a series that made Fox a major contender back in the '90s -- will it be enough to keep this network alive and well?
