The 58th Primetime Emmy Winners

By Rachel Thomas, About.com

It's the Oscars of the television industry, the Emmys are here! Thanks to the new Emmy rules, many surprises, snubs and not-so-surprising nominations complete the best of the best in television. The typical and well deserved multiple nominations include The West Wing, 24 and The Sopranos. New to the Emmy race this year are Grey's Anatomy and House in the Outstanding Drama Series category and Kyra Sedgwick and Chandra Wilson in the Outstanding Lead Actress and Supporting Actress categories respectively.

The Emmy winners were a nice variety of not the typical annual winners, which made for a nice change and for the first time ever, Kiefer Sutherland won the much-deserved Emmy for his role as Jack Bauer on the Outstanding Drama Series Emmy winner 24.
