February Sweeps 2006: What Will Happen on all Your Favorite Shows

It's that time of year when all your favorite shows go all out to top one another. Every November, February and May, advertisers make the decisions on where to spend their money, so as a result, we get the absolute best programming during these months. What will happen this February? The following is a rundown of February's highlights issued from the various network press releases:

ABC
  • February 5, 2006 is Super Bowl Sunday: Pittsburgh Steelers vs Seattle Seahawks.
  • A 'Code Black' threatens the lives of our favorite interns at Seattle Grace in a two-part episode. Christina Ricci and Kyle Chandler guest star on "Grey's Anatomy."
  • Michael J. Fox, Tom Selleck, Betty White, Joanna Cassidy, Corbin Bernsen and Nicole Sullivan guest star on "Boston Legal."
  • Maria Conchita Alonso guest stars as Gabrielle's Mom on "Desperate Housewives."
  • Danielle Rousseau returns to stir things up on "Lost."

NBC
  • The Olympics begin on February 10, 2006 and dominate the schedule for the rest of sweeps.
  • What are those creatures in the water and have we really been knocked down a notch on the food chain? The season (series?) finale of "Surface" airs on February 6th.
  • James Woods guest stars on "ER" February 2nd.
  • NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series driver Jimmie Johnson guest-stars as himself on "Las Vegas" February 6th.
  • Rebecca De Mornay and Betty Buckley guest star on "Law & Order: SVU" February 7th.

Fox
  • Six hours in, and already Jack Bauer’s fifth non-stop day-from-hell is on an unbelievably thrilling countdown. February sees four all-new, suspense-filled episodes of "24."
  • Summer discovers the truth about Seth on "The OC," which only airs two new episodes this month.
  • Have we seen the last of Dr. House's cain? It's a possibility when his leg pain escalates, causing his colleagues to think that perhaps his nerves are finally regenerating.

The WB
  • On "Charmed," Paige and Henry get engaged, but will they actually make it to the alter? Billy finally reunites with her sister.
  • Dean and Sam's father returns to save his sons lives on "Supernatural."
  • Lex and Lana a couple? That's where these two are headed this season. Clark helps DC Comic book character, Cyborg escape from Lex and his minions at Luthorcorp on "Smallville."
  • Music group, Fall Out Boy appears on "One Tree Hill" on February 15th.
  • Kevin plans a romantic Valentine's Day for Lucy on "7th Heaven."
