Fox Fall 2006-07 Primetime Line-Up

By Rachel Thomas, About.com

An interesting fall is headed our way on Fox. Three new dramas will start off the season, with a fourth premiering in January, 2007. Prison Break will get an early dismissal in December and when 24 and American Idol premiere in January, the schedule completely changes. The OC fans can breathe a sigh of relief, their beloved show has indeed been renewed, but the bad new is -- it's still opposite powerhouse CSI and the newly relocated Grey's Anatomy. All in all, an exciting season awaits us and most of the fall schedule promises to keep us entertained for the entire season.

New Dramas in 2006:

Vanished
When the beautiful wife of a Senator suddenly disappears, the hunt is on to find her....if only they knew who she really is. As the search gets deeper, the reason for Sara's disappearance may very well be a part of a much larger conspiracy. The series stars Gale Harold as Kelton, John Allen Nelson as Jeffrey, Joanne Kelly as Sara, Rebecca Gayheart as Judy, Margarita Levieva as Marcy, John Patrick Amedori as Max, Chris Egan as Ben, Robert Hoffman as Adam, Ming-Na as Lin Mei.
Chance of success: Very good. This is an exciting premise, the competition isn't fierce and it will follow fan favorite, Prison Break.

Standoff
Part-action/part-romance, this series follows the lives of negotiators in the FBI's Crisis Negotiation Unit (CNU). Two of the negotiators, Matt and Emily are involved romantically and happen to be one of the best teams at CNU. The two have decided to keep their relationship secret until a situation forces their private life into the public eye. Will CNU allow these two to continue working together? The series stars Ron Livingston as Matt, Rosemarie DeWitt as Emily, Michael Cudlitz as Frank, Gina Torres as Cheryl, Raquel Alessi as Lia.
Chance of success: Good. The big competition in this timeslot is NCIS on CBS. If viewers take to this premise, the show has a shot at getting decent ratings tis fall.

Justice
This series follows a group of top-notch lawyers, each with formidable skills in their respective area of law expertice, while allowing viewers a behind-the-scenes look at how cases are tried in the media. The series stars Victor Garber as Ron, Kerr Smith as Tom, Eamonn Walker as Luther, Rebecca Mader as Alden and is produced by Jerry Bruckheimer.
Chance of success: Viewers love Jerry Bruckheimer shows, but this series faces big competition against powerhouse series, Lost. The good news is that since Lost will air in blocks of seven next season, this show may have a shot at grabbing viewers while Lost is on hiatus.

The Wedding Album -- Coming January, 2007
This series revolves around a notoriously single and successful wedding photographer. While everyone wants Tony to be their wedding photographer, e is determined to never make the trip down the aisle himself -- that is until he meets and hires a new assistant. The series stars Bruno Campos as Tony, Tara Summers as Milla, Tony Lo Bianco as Danny, Ashlie Atkinson as Gwen, Jayce Bartok as Bruno, Eva Pigford as Gretchen, Ptolemy Slocum as Peter.
Chance of success: Not great. Fox typically doesn't perform well on Friday nights and the competition of Las Vegas and Close to Home may hinder the success of this show.
